WCT ships with a guided Setup Wizard that walks you through every essential step in under 5 minutes. New customers see a welcome notice on first activation that auto-launches the wizard, and you can re-run it any time from Settings → "🪄 Re-run Setup Wizard".
How to Launch The Wizard
First-time install: click the blue welcome notice at the top of any WCT page — you'll auto-redirect to the wizard once you activate the plugin and enter your license
Any time after: Settings tab → top card → 🪄 Re-run Setup Wizard

What The Wizard Covers
|
| Step | | What it does |
|
| 1. Welcome | | Auto-detects WordPress permalink issues + scans for URL-shortener plugin conflicts (PrettyLinks, ThirstyAffiliates, YOURLS Link Creator, Link Whisper, Redirection, Simple 301 Redirects). Shows green if all clear, red if action needed, with one-click fix suggestions. |
| 2. First Tracking Link | | Guided form to create your first link with a live URL preview as you type. Optional — skip and create links later from the Create Link tab. |
| 3. Attribution Model | | Click-anywhere radio cards: Last-Click vs First-Click with plain-English explainers of when to use each. |
| 4. WarriorPlus (only if W+ Connect addon is installed) | | Both vendor AND affiliate flows side-by-side. Per-Offer IPN URLs + Global Pixel URLs (each with a Copy button) + a masked input field for your IPN Verification Key. Skip-friendly throughout. |
| 5. JVZoo (only if JVZoo Connect addon is installed) | | JVZIPN URL with Copy button + step-by-step path to find your JVZIPN Secret Key in JVZoo (My Account Dashboard → Seller Settings → JVZIPN Secret Key) + a masked input field to paste it. |
| 6. Done | | Quick-action launchpad to Dashboard / Create More Links / Tracking Setup / Training. |
Single Source of Truth — Wizard Inputs Save Everywhere
Anything you type in the wizard saves to the same options that the addon Security tabs use. Type your W+ IPN Verification Key in the wizard → it instantly appears (saved + masked) in W+ Connect → Security tab. Type your JVZIPN Secret Key → it appears in JVZoo Connect → Security tab. No duplicate entry, no out-of-sync state, no "which one is right?" confusion.
Secret Keys Stay Hidden — Important For Training Videos
Both the wizard and the Security tabs use the same masked-input UI: secrets show as •••••••••••• by default with one-click Show / Copy / Edit toggles. So when you record screencasts or training videos, your real keys never appear on screen by accident.
Dismissible Welcome Notice
The blue welcome notice appears at the top of every WCT screen (and the WP Plugins screen) until setup is complete. If you'd rather not see it, click "Dismiss this notice" — it disappears forever. The wizard is still available any time from Settings.
🍪 Reset Your Attribution Cookies (Tester Tool)
When you're verifying a funnel end-to-end yourself, your browser keeps WCT cookies for 30 days — which means every "fresh test" inherits the OLDEST first-click value (whatever link you clicked first weeks ago). Looks broken even when the code is working perfectly.
Three ways to reset YOUR OWN browser's cookies:
Settings → 🛠 Tools → 🍪 Reset Attribution Cookies button (one click)
Direct URL: — paste it in any browser to reset that browser's cookies. Useful for browser bookmarklets, scripted/automated tests, or sharing with team members who help test funnels on this site.
Manually: open browser devtools → Application → Cookies → delete wct_click_id, wct_click_id_js, wct_first_click_id for your domain
The reset only affects YOUR browser — no data is deleted from the WCT database. After clicking, the next tracking link you click is recorded as a fresh first click.
💡 When to use it: testing your funnel end-to-end · debugging "why did the sale credit the wrong link?" · onboarding training videos where you want each demo run to start clean.
⚠️ This is for SITE OWNERS, not end-customers. Real visitors to your funnels don't know cookies exist and never need to use this URL. Don't put the link in customer-facing pages, autoresponder sequences, or affiliate-promoted material — clearing cookies mid-funnel would break their attribution. The URL is for YOU (and your team) when testing.
