Install the plugin:
- In your WordPress dashboard go to Plugins, Add New Plugin, and press Upload Plugin.
- Choose the ResultsAiX Accessibility zip file you downloaded and press Install Now.
- Press Activate Plugin.
The Accessibility button is live on your site straight away. The reading tools work for every visitor from this moment, with or without a key.
Get your free key:
A new item, AiX Accessibility, appears in your dashboard menu. The first time you open it you see Get your free key.
- Check your name and email. They are filled in from your WordPress account; change them if you like.
- Press Get my free key and activate.
- Your key is issued, this site is activated on the spot, and a copy of the key is emailed to you.
The key is free, tied to your email, covers three of your own sites and never expires. It is how updates reach your site, and it opens the plugin's settings screens. Until the site has a key, the AiX Accessibility menu shows only this key screen.
If you already have a key:
If you got your key on another site, paste it into the License key box under Already have a key and press Activate license. Pressing Get my free key and activate on another site with the same email also gives you the same key. Lost it? Find it in your account portal at https://resultswithkevin.com/portal/.
After activation:
The screen reloads on the Dashboard tab. Press See it on your site to try the button as a visitor. Everything is switched on by default, so there is nothing you have to set before it works. When you are ready, the Reading tools tab has every switch.
If the key step fails:
- Could not reach the license server: your server could not connect for a moment. Wait a minute and try again.
- This license has no available sites left: the key is already on three sites. On one of those sites open AiX Accessibility, Settings, and use Remove next to a site you no longer use, or Deactivate This Site.
