ResultsAiX Accessibility is a free WordPress plugin that puts an Accessibility button on every page of your site. Your visitors press it, or press Alt + A on a keyboard, and get a real reading panel: five one-press reading profiles, five colour and contrast modes, text size and spacing controls, two reading fonts, ten reading aids, a map of the headings on the page, and Listen, which reads the page aloud in the voice already on their own device.
What the free plugin gives you:
- The Accessibility button on every page, in the corner, colour and word you choose.
- One plain question the first time a visitor opens it: Anything making this hard to read? One tap adjusts the page.
- The full panel: profiles, colour modes, text controls, reading fonts, reading aids, a page map and keyboard shortcuts.
- Listen, sentence by sentence and highlighted as it goes, with speed and voice choice. No AI, no key and no running cost.
- A small reading bar at the top of your posts and pages with Listen, text size, Focus and In short, a plain-language summary you can write for any post.
- Every visitor choice remembered in their own browser and applied before the page paints, so nothing flashes.
What Accessibility PRO adds for you, the site owner:
- The checker: thirteen checks on every post and page each time you save it, listed right in the editor.
- Fix with AI: alt text written by looking at each picture, names for embedded frames, and headings put back in order. You bring your own AI key.
- A check of every published page at once.
- An Accessibility Statement page, written, published and linked for you.
- A one-line embed that puts the same panel on any HTML page, on any domain.
- In short summaries written for you by AI when a post is first published.
Articles about PRO features start with PRO: in their title. Everything else in these docs is in the free plugin.
Why it is not an overlay:
Overlay widgets paint a button over a site and change nothing underneath. The headings stay out of order and the pictures stay without descriptions. This plugin changes how the page itself reads for each visitor, and with PRO it reads your actual content and helps you fix it. It never prints a compliant badge, because no plugin can promise that about your content.
Requirements:
WordPress 5.8 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer. It works with any theme. The PRO checker also needs the PHP DOM extension, which almost every host has switched on; the Diagnostics tab tells you whether yours has.
If you also use the ResultsAiX Theme:
The theme carries the same reading tools. Only one copy ever runs on a site, the newest one, so nothing prints twice, and the settings stay in one place: the Reading tools tab of this plugin. When more than one product on your site carries the tools, that tab says in plain words which copy is running.
