The Hub installs like any other WordPress plugin. Get the zip from the free members area first (see Getting The Hub Free: One Sign-Up, Six Free Plugins).
- In WordPress go to Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin.
- Choose the Hub zip and click Install Now.
- Click Activate.
What happens on activation:
Two database tables are created if they do not already exist: your table prefix plus raix_stats (the shared weekly statistics table) and your table prefix plus raix_audit (the record of licence, update and switch on actions). After every Hub update, the Hub checks once more that both tables are there, and quietly creates them again if a host silently failed the first attempt.
Two background jobs are scheduled through WordPress's own scheduler:
- A daily refresh, first run about an hour after the Hub first loads. It refreshes the product catalogue and asks each registered plugin to refresh its licence status, so screens load from local data rather than waiting on the network
- An hourly count of the Overview numbers, first run about five minutes after the Hub first loads, so the Overview usually opens on fresh numbers
Where to find it:
A menu called ResultsAiX Hub appears near the top of your WordPress sidebar, just under Dashboard, with the R brand mark and its name in gold. A ResultsAiX Hub shortcut is also added to the admin bar. Every Hub screen needs the manage_options capability, so the Hub is for administrators only.
Moving between Hub screens:
The sidebar stays short on purpose. Under the ResultsAiX Hub menu you see Home, which opens the Overview, and RWK AI Bots, which you can hide in Settings. Every other screen is reached from the tab strip across the top of every Hub page: Overview, My Plugins, Get More, Results With Kevin AI, Licenses, Settings, Diagnostics and Support, plus an Affiliates tab that opens jvwithkevin.com in a new window. The screens that are not in the sidebar still work by direct address.
If you switch on menu consolidation in Settings, your ResultsAiX plugins also appear as rows under the ResultsAiX Hub menu.
Does the order of installation matter?
No. Install the Hub before or after your other plugins. Anything already installed is picked up the next time you open a Hub screen.
