If your licence lapses
Your banner and your blocking keep running exactly as you left them. Visitors are still asked, scripts are still held, Consent Mode signals are still sent and answers are still recorded. Only the admin screens lock. The AiX Consent menu then opens the Activate your licence screen, with a note explaining that your banner and script blocking are still running on the site. Enter a valid key to get back in and make changes.
The licence is checked once a day in the background. If the licence server cannot be reached, nothing changes on your site.
Deactivating the plugin
Deactivating it on the WordPress Plugins screen stops the banner and blocking, and releases this site's licence slot. All your settings and records stay in place for when you switch it back on.
Uninstalling: the log is kept
Deleting the plugin removes its settings, your cookie declaration and the licence details from this site. The consent log stays, on purpose. Those records are your evidence, and the question they answer can arrive months later. Emptying the log is always a deliberate act: if you want the records gone, use Empty the log on the Consent log tab, with its typed DELETE confirmation, before you delete the plugin. Download the CSV first if there is any chance you will want it.
Start again
On the Settings tab, Start again puts every setting back to how it shipped, switches the banner off and rebuilds the cookie list from scratch. Type RESET in capitals and press Reset every setting. Your consent records are kept. The wording version moves up by one, so existing visitors are asked again once you switch the banner back on.
Moving your setup to another site
Also on the Settings tab, Move this setup to another site has an Export button that downloads every setting on every tab and your cookie declaration as one file. The policy page links and the notification addresses on the Settings tab travel with it, so look those over on the new site. Your licence key, your consent records and the admin colour scheme are deliberately left out. On the new site, open the file, paste its contents into Paste a settings file here and press Import. The new site keeps its own wording version and admin colour scheme. Every value in the file is checked on the way in, exactly as the tabs check what you type, and anything the plugin does not recognise is ignored. An import never switches the banner on: the new site keeps its own switch, so check the Banner and Cookies tabs, then switch it on when you are ready. If the pasted text is not a ResultsAiX Consent settings file, nothing is changed.
