Chats puts your assistant on the pages you choose, on this site or any of your other sites. Open AiX Support, Chats. Nothing shows on any page until you have picked its pages and switched it on.
The top of the screen:
The heading Your chats, with three checks beside it: whether the AI is ready, how many products the desk knows from your product catalog, and, with ResultsAiX Pulse active, that your chats work on all your Pulse sites. Under them, every chat added together for the dates you pick (Today, Yesterday, 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, This year, Lifetime, or Custom with your own two dates), the last 30 days to start with: conversations, questions answered, clicks through to a product, people who left their details, buyers after a chat and revenue after a chat, with what one conversation is worth. Reports: what works and Chat history open on the same dates.
Your three chats:
- Sales Page Chat. Sells for you on your sales pages. It knows every product, price and page, shows product cards that open the sales page, and hands hot leads straight to you.
- Members Helper. Answers your members inside your members area. It knows what each member owns, helps first, and suggests what they do not have yet, with the sales page.
- Members Live Chat. A live room where members talk to each other and to you, with your assistant answering when nobody else does. This one is coming soon and cannot be switched on yet.
Each card shows its status (Live, Not set up yet or Off), where it shows, and the same dates: chats, clicks through to a sales page, leads and buyers, with the sales that followed. Spam and your own tries are left out. Set it up or Edit opens the wizard. Once a chat has been set up, Try it, Report and an On and Off switch appear on its card. Switched off, nothing about that chat shows on any page.
The five-step wizard:
Every chat is set up in five steps, and the real chat is open in the corner of the wizard the whole time, changing as you type. Each step saves only its own fields. The first time through you go step by step; after that you can jump to any step.
Step 1, where it shows:
For the Sales Page Chat, tick your sales pages. The list comes from your product catalog, so a new product appears by itself, and Tick all and Untick all save time. Add any other pages underneath, one a line. For the Members Helper, give your members area address and choose Every page in my members area, which is recommended, or Only the pages I list. Both chats have Never on these pages, which wins over everything else; checkout and thank-you pages belong there.
How a page line is read:
- http, https, www, anything after a question mark and a trailing slash are ignored.
- A line with a domain matches that site only. A line starting with / matches that path on any of your sites.
- End a line with /* for a page and everything under it. A * on its own means every page.
- A line starting with # is ignored, so you can leave yourself notes.
If both chats would show on the same page, the Sales Page Chat wins.
Step 2, how it looks:
- Who it speaks for. The name on the Talk to button, for example your own name.
- The assistant's name, shown in full at the top of the chat.
- Photo, from your Media Library and shown round. Without one, the chat shows the ResultsAiX AI picture.
- Colour, from eight swatches or any colour you like. White text sits on it, so pick a strong one. The two ResultsAiX swatches, orange and gold, give the header, the button and the visitor's own messages the ResultsAiX gold into orange blend. Any other colour is used exactly as picked.
- Button: Icon and words, best on sales pages, or Round icon, good inside a members area.
- Side of the screen: bottom right or bottom left.
- Button text: Questions? Ask me on the sales chat and Need a hand? on the helper, until you change it.
Step 3, what it says:
- First message, up to 400 characters. Each chat starts with a sensible one you can rewrite.
- Quick questions, up to four, each one tap to ask. A quick question starting Talk to opens the contact form instead.
- Open by itself: never, which is the default, or after 5, 10, 20 or 30 seconds, or a minute. A small message then pops up beside the button once per visit. It never opens the whole chat over their page. Write that message in The pop-up message box; with the box empty, nothing pops up.
- Show a Talk to button, ticked by default. It opens a short form for a first name, an email and anything to add, and the whole conversation lands in your inbox. On the sales chat the visitor is also emailed what was recommended.
Step 4, its rules:
These apply to every chat.
- Never offer anything to people on these Mailer lists, or with these Mailer tags. They still get every answer, never an offer. With the ResultsAiX Mailer on the site you tick the lists; otherwise you type their numbers.
- Tags that mean owns the Bundle, so Bundle owners are never offered the Bundle.
- Included for every member, never sold to them. The helper tells members these are already theirs.
- Never mention at all.
Always on, whatever you set: nobody is offered something they already own, nobody hears what they spent, links go to sales pages and never straight to a checkout, and somebody upset, stuck or asking about a refund is helped, never sold to.
Step 5, test and go live:
A summary of where it shows, who it speaks for, when it opens and whether the AI is ready. The chat in the corner answers for real, so ask it the hard questions; the Members Helper answers as you, signed in. Test answers are never counted in your numbers, but they do use your Claude credit. Tick Switch it on and press Save and finish, and it shows on your pages from their next visit.
What visitors see:
- A header with your photo, the assistant's name and Replies in seconds, then the Talk to button, Start a new chat, and Close.
- Typing dots while it thinks, and every answer in full however long the conversation gets.
- Product cards stacked one under another, each with its name, a line about it, its price and a View Sales Page button that opens in a new tab. At most three products and the Bundle. Cards never link to a checkout. With WP Conversion Tracker on the site, cards open through a tracked link so a sale can be tied to the conversation.
- Answers by AI, checked against our own information, at the foot of the chat.
How the sales chat answers:
- A simple question, such as the price, the guarantee, how many sites, renewals or what it needs, gets a sentence or two with no product cards and no pitch.
- Questions about what a product does, or which one to choose, get a fuller answer with cards.
- Prices are quoted exactly as your catalog writes them, never rounded, discounted or added up, and nothing is invented. A fact it does not have is something the owner will confirm, with the Talk to button.
- On a product's own sales page it answers for that product first and never shows a card for that same product, so the cards it does show are the next step.
- Notes you keep for yourself in your product list, such as a bracket with your name and a date, never reach a visitor's answer.
- Someone asking for a person, a refund or help logging in goes straight to the contact form.
What it needs:
- A Claude key under Settings, AI. Without one, the sales chat picks products by keyword.
- Your product catalog, a JSON file whose address goes under Chat history, Your products, Catalog address. Without it, no products are recommended.
- The sales chat shares the AI answers a day, at most limit set under Chat history, 300 by default. After that it answers by keyword until the next day.
- One conversation can ask up to 20 questions an hour, and one connection up to 60.
On your other sites:
The On any other site card gives you one line to paste before </body> on any site. It needs no key, and it still shows only the chats that are switched on and matched to that page. With ResultsAiX Pulse, every site that reports to Pulse picks your chats up by itself. On this site the line is added for you. A member is only recognised on a site where they are logged in and Pulse or this desk runs; everywhere else the helper answers as it would any visitor and never shows anybody's account.
A sales chat for another site or brand:
Press Add a sales chat on the Chats screen, give it a name, and the same five steps open. Add as many as you need. Each one has its own pages, look, greeting and quick questions, and step 4, Its rules, starts with This chat's own focus, which only that chat uses:
- Name of this chat: for you, on its card, in Chat history and in the reports. Its leads and tickets carry the name too.
- The brand it speaks for: the name of that site's brand. Empty means your main brand.
- Instructions for this chat: in your own words, what it puts first, what it only talks about when asked, and the tone. It still never invents a price or a fact.
- Its own product list: the address of a product list in the same format as your main catalog. Its products are recommended first. Tick Also offer the products in my main product list to let it suggest those too when they fit what the visitor asks.
- Read the page the visitor is on: the chat sees the page's title, heading and summary, so a question like what is in this one? is answered for that page. A page can hand it more detail with window.asdPageContext = { ... } or a script block of type application/json with the id asd-page-context or asd-page.
- A free gift to catch the lead: a title, a short line, the link and the button wording. A gift button sits under the first message, and the chat offers the gift to people who are browsing or not ready to buy. They give their name and email, the gift arrives in one email from you with the products that fit, and nothing lands in your inbox unless they write you a note.
- This chat's leads go on a Mailer list and are tagged with your tag. Somebody already on your Mailer is only tagged. Anybody unsubscribed or on your do-not-email list is never added back.
The rules under Every chat's rules still apply to every chat. Each chat opens only when the visitor presses its button, the small pop-up from step 3 only shows if you write one, and it never shows inside your members area. Remove on its card takes the chat off your pages and keeps its conversations in Chat history.
