When somebody without access opens protected content:
- Behavior: show your protection message, show the excerpt as a teaser first, or redirect. A join or sales page is the best redirect
- Protection message: the text a non member reads. Write it as a pitch, not an error
- Hide from archives and search: keeps protected items out of lists entirely for visitors without access, and is on by default
- Protect RSS feeds: replaces protected content in feeds with your message
- Protect the REST API: recommended, because without it content locked on the page is still readable through the API
- Administrators always see everything: on by default. Turn it off for a moment to preview your site as a visitor without logging out
Login and redirects:
- Your login page: the page holding the login shortcode. Non members are sent here when they need to sign in
- After login: the global fallback, which levels can override
- Per level redirects only for single level members: with this ticked, anybody holding several levels always lands on the global page
- Email new members their login details when they register
Appearance:
Nine colour schemes, the same set as every ResultsAiX plugin, including dark ones. It changes the admin screens only, never your site. If the ResultsAiX Hub is installed it can set the scheme for every plugin at once.
Uninstall behaviour:
Off by default, which means deleting the plugin keeps your levels, members and protection so you can reinstall safely. Tick it only if you genuinely want everything gone. WordPress user accounts are never deleted either way.
The Danger Zone:
Wipes all membership data. It needs a tick and the word DELETE typed out, because it cannot be undone. User accounts survive it.
Diagnostics:
A read only report: plugin and database versions, your file and folder protection state, the environment, and every table with its row count. It is the first thing to open when something is not behaving, and the first thing to paste into a support ticket. It never contains your API keys.
