Engage is licence first. Until a key is activated, the only screen in wp-admin is the activation gate, and nothing renders on the front end of your site.
Installing the plugin:
- Download the plugin zip from your purchase receipt or your account.
- In wp-admin go to Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin.
- Choose the zip, install it, and click Activate.
- A new AI Engage item appears in the left hand menu.
Activating your licence:
- Open AI Engage. The activation gate is the only screen you will see.
- Paste your key exactly as it appears in your email.
- Click Activate License.
One key, one plugin, two tiers. Core keys and PRO keys both go in the same box. Engage asks the licence server which product your key is entitled to and unlocks accordingly, so there is never a second key to hunt for.
One key covers 3 sites. The License tab shows your status, your plan, and a masked copy of the key, and has a Deactivate On This Site button that frees a seat so you can move it to another site.
What happens if the licence server is unreachable:
If Engage cannot reach the server at all when you activate, it trusts the key locally, tells you it will finish syncing shortly, and retries once a day on a scheduled task. A temporary outage never locks you out. Engage only ever switches a site off when the server gives an explicit terminal answer, for example cancelled, refunded, disabled or expired.
If you upgrade from Core to PRO later, the entitlement rides on the same key. Engage rechecks once a day and unlocks PRO on its own. To pick it up immediately, deactivate and reactivate on the License tab.
Deactivating the plugin in WordPress frees the licence seat but keeps your stored key, because deactivate and reactivate is the first thing support asks for and nobody should have to go hunting for a receipt.
