There are 19 campaign types, grouped into three families. The family decides which renderer runs and which design controls appear in the builder.
Bars, the gentlest option:
Always on and out of the way. Best for a launch, a discount or a single announcement that should sit on every page.
- Sticky Header Bar: pinned to the top of every page
- Sticky Footer Bar: pinned to the bottom, clear of your header and navigation
- Floating Bar: a detached rounded bar with a margin around it, reads as a card
- Split Bar: one, two or three calls to action side by side, each with its own icon, text and button
- Announcement Ticker: scrolls through up to 10 short messages in one bar
- Countdown Bar: counts down to a fixed date and time, or runs an evergreen per visitor timer
- Coupon Reveal Bar: hides the code until the visitor clicks, then copies it to their clipboard
- Cookie Notice Bar: a plain accept or decline consent notice, remembered per visitor
- Sticky Side Tab: a vertical tab on the left or right edge that expands when clicked
Popups, the highest impact:
They stop the page, so use them for one clear, high value ask.
- Center Popup: the classic centred lightbox with a dimmed background
- Slide In: slides up from a chosen corner without covering the page
- Welcome Mat: a full screen takeover, best kept to landing pages
- Sheet: a full width panel that slides in from the top or bottom edge
- Side Drawer: slides in from the left or right edge, full height
- Video Popup: a YouTube or Vimeo video in a lightbox with a call to action underneath
- Two Step Yes / No: asks a question first and only shows the form to people who say yes
- Content Locker: blurs the rest of an article until the visitor subscribes
- Entry Gate: an age or entry confirmation shown before the page can be used
Callouts, the friendliest:
- Chat Bubble Callout: a bubble with typing dots that opens into a message card, with an optional name and avatar. It reads like a person rather than an advert.
Bars and side tabs happily share a page with anything else. Popups do not: Engage never shows two exclusive popups at the same time, and queues the second one instead.
