✅ The Two Step Yes Or No Popup

The Two Step Yes / No popup is a popup family type that splits the ask into two moves. Step one is a question with two buttons. Step two, the form, only appears to the people who clicked yes.

Why it converts better than a plain form:

Saying yes is a tiny commitment that costs nothing. Once somebody has clicked Yes, I want the discount, handing over an email feels like the natural next step rather than a cold request from a stranger. The people who click no were never going to fill in the form anyway, and they leave without friction.

Setting it up:

  1. Create a new campaign and choose Two Step Yes / No from the Popups group, or start from the Two Step Yes / No Offer template.
  2. On the Content tab write the headline as a question. Want 20% off your first order? works better than Join our newsletter.
  3. Set the Yes button and No button text. Make the yes button describe the reward and the no button describe the cost of declining.
  4. On the Opt-in tab switch on the form and choose your fields and autoresponder.
  5. Choose a trigger. Scroll depth around 45 percent and exit intent both work well for this format.

Writing the two buttons:

The yes button should restate the benefit, for example Yes, I want the discount. The no button can gently name what they are turning down, for example No, I will pay full price. Keep it light. The aim is a smile, not a guilt trip.

The Entry Gate type uses the same two button pattern for a different job: an age or entry confirmation shown before the page can be used, with an Enter button and a Leave button set on the Content tab.
