When you want something the sections do not offer, press Edit HTML on the Build screen. It opens the code of the page you are looking at, in WordPress's own code editor.
How to use it:
- Open the page in the preview and press Edit HTML.
- Change anything you like: wording, structure, your own blocks, your own styles.
- Press Save HTML And Preview. The preview shows your version straight away.
Your HTML is used everywhere that page appears: the preview, when you publish to WordPress and when you download the zip. A note above the preview tells you when a page is using your own HTML.
Your forms, buy buttons and webinar dates stay live:
Lines like [[rafb-live:3:optin_form]] are the parts of the page that depend on your settings: an optin form and where it sends leads, a buy button and its product's current price, a webinar registration and its next date, a download and its latest file, and a video playing a webinar recording. They are drawn fresh every time, so a price, a date or your email list can never go stale inside your HTML.
- Move a live line anywhere on the page, or delete it to remove that part.
- Change its settings, like the email list or the product, in Edit Content as usual.
- Reordering sections later never breaks your HTML: a live line finds its section even after it moves.
Links to your other pages:
Write href="#rafb-page-thank-you", using the page's name, and it becomes that page's real address when you publish or export. The starting HTML already uses these for the buttons the builder set up.
Going back:
Press Back To The Builder Version to use the generated layout again. While a page uses your own HTML, Edit Content, Rewrite Page and Regenerate Section still work, but they change the builder version you would go back to.
Who can save scripts:
An administrator can save anything, scripts and styles included, exactly as in WordPress's own Custom HTML block. Someone WordPress does not trust with raw HTML keeps formatting only, and the editor says so before they start.
