Before you start:
- WordPress 5.6 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
- The Free Consumer Reports plugin installed, activated and licensed. The add-on does nothing on its own.
- A licence key that includes the Funnel Builder add-on. This is its own key, separate from your report niche keys, unless your package already includes it.
- Permalinks set to Post name (Settings > Permalinks). Funnel pages do not open with Plain permalinks.
- Your autoresponder connected in the main plugin. Custom funnels send opt-ins to the same place as your report funnels.
- An administrator login.
- Your PDF lead magnet, as a file or as a direct link to the PDF.
- Optional: a cover image, square or portrait, at least 400 by 400 pixels.
Install and activate:
- Log in to your members area and click Download the Funnel Builder add-on. You get free-consumer-reports-funnel-builder.zip. Do not unzip it.
- Make sure the Free Consumer Reports plugin is already installed and active.
- In WordPress go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin.
- Choose the zip file and click Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
Add your Funnel Builder key:
- Go to Free Consumer Reports > Settings and find the License panel. If the main plugin has no key yet, the licence screen opens as soon as you click Free Consumer Reports.
- Paste your Funnel Builder key into the key box.
- Click the button next to it. It says Activate, or Add another key if a key is already on the site.
Your other keys stay in place. Keys stack, and the table under the panel lists each key and what it unlocks. When it worked, the panel says "Funnel Builder add-on included." and that key's Unlocks column says Funnel Builder add-on.
How to check it worked:
Open the Free Consumer Reports menu. You see four new items: Funnel Builder, CSV Import, My Custom Funnels and Categories. The plugin's tab bar shows Funnel Builder ACTIVE on the right, and the Diagnostics tab shows Free Consumer Reports Funnel Builder Addon: Active v1.0.4.
Updates arrive in Dashboard > Updates, like any other plugin.
