📄 Rebranding The PDF Reports

Every report ships as a PDF that your subscriber downloads and keeps. The PDF Rebrander adds your own call to action page to that PDF, so the document itself carries your promotion.

What goes on the call to action page:

  • A headline, defaulting to a generic prompt about more free resources
  • A description paragraph
  • A clickable button with your own label
  • An optional image, chosen from the WordPress media library, which is also clickable
  • An optional author credit line, clickable if you supply a URL
  • An optional copyright line

The copyright field understands two tokens. {YEAR} expands to the current year and {AUTHOR} expands to your author name.

Rebranding your PDFs:

  1. Open the PDF Rebrander tab.
  2. Fill in the call to action settings at the top.
  3. Choose the placement: first page only, last page only, or both.
  4. Tick the funnels you want to process, or use select all.
  5. Click the rebrand button and wait for the progress indicator to finish.

How the page is built:

The original PDF pages are imported and the call to action pages are drawn natively on top, rather than being imported as flat images. That is what keeps the button, the image and the author line genuinely clickable in the finished file.

The design matches the report:

The call to action page is painted in that report's own cover palette, taken from the registry, including a gradient background and soft accent circles. The button colour follows the report accent automatically unless you set a colour of your own.

Where the button points:

Always at the funnel's geo smart link, never at a raw offer URL. This is the single most useful thing about the rebrander: you can change the destination offer, or add a country specific offer, at any time and every PDF already downloaded follows the change.

Where the file goes:

The rebranded copy is written to the rebranded folder in your uploads directory, alongside the original which is never modified. Both the funnel download link and the PDF handler prefer the rebranded copy when it exists.

Undoing a rebrand:

The reset action deletes the rebranded file, so the original PDF is served again immediately. Because the rebrander always starts from the untouched original, running it repeatedly never stacks multiple call to action pages.

Resources and timeouts:

PDF work is memory hungry. The plugin raises its own memory limit and execution time before it starts, but a low host limit can still produce a 500 error. If that happens, ask your host to raise the PHP memory limit, and process funnels in batches of ten to twenty.
