Pick one site as your main site (Pulse calls it the hub): the one where you want to watch everything. Every other site sends its visitors to it.
Another WordPress site
- On your main site: Connections, Your Sites. Type the other site's name and domain and press + Add Site. Its code opens by itself.
- Copy the pairing code (Option B, the line that starts ravg1:).
- On the other site: install and activate Pulse. It needs no licence key. It opens on an activation screen: scroll to Already Running Pulse On Another Site?, paste the code, press Connect This Site To My Hub.
Updates: a connected site has no key of its own, so it fetches every Pulse update through your main site, which asks the licence server on its behalf. It updates from Plugins like any other plugin. If a connected site ever says it needs a fresh code for updates, press Get The Code on your main site and paste the new one there once.
From then on the other site stores nothing itself. Its visitors show on your main site's globe in their own colour, its chats land on your main site's Chats tab and your assistant answers them. To undo it, on that site open Connections, tick Disconnect from the hub and save.
The box called "Send This Site's Visitors To Another Site Instead" at the bottom of Connections is that same pairing box. On your main site you leave it empty. It is only ever filled in on your other WordPress sites.
A plain HTML page, or any site that is not WordPress
The same row on the hub gives you one line of code. Paste it before </body> and that page is on your globe, chat included.
Each site has its own key and colour. Remove a site on the hub and its key stops working at once, wherever it was pasted.
This site is connected to a hub so its Dashboard, Chats and assistant live on the hub.
