Style drift is the second most obvious sign of an AI generated book, after character drift. The plugin handles it with a persisted style suffix.
How the style lock works:
Each art style in the wizard maps to a descriptive phrase. That phrase is saved on the project and appended to the prompt for every page the book ever generates, including pages you reroll weeks later. You cannot accidentally generate page 27 in a different style from page 3.
The four styles:
- Classic Cartoon: bold clean outlines, flat cheerful colors, a timeless kids cartoon look.
- Cute Kawaii: chibi proportions, big expressive eyes, soft rounded shapes.
- Bold Simple: extra thick outlines, minimal detail, large friendly shapes, aimed at toddlers.
- Storybook Watercolor: soft painted washes, gentle textures, classic picture book illustration.
Premise versus style:
Your premise decides what appears on the pages. The style picker decides how it is drawn. Describing scenes in the premise and leaving the look to the style picker gives more consistent results than trying to describe both at once.
What if the AI writer suggests its own style?
When a story book is generated, the writer returns a short art style hint alongside the story. That hint is only applied if you left the style suffix empty, so an explicit choice you made in the wizard is never overwritten.
Bold Simple suits the youngest age range because thick outlines survive both the printing process and small hands with crayons. Storybook Watercolor is designed for full color story books rather than line art, since coloring pages force black and white line art regardless of style.
