The checklist exists so you never have to switch between documentation and the upload form. It mirrors the real order of the form, and after you run an export each step shows your own data underneath its label.
The ten steps:
- Book title and subtitle. Paste the title exactly as it appears on your cover. The subtitle is optional but it is searchable.
- Author name. Use the same author name across your whole catalog so the books cross promote each other.
- Description. Paste the HTML description from the listing kit into the description box.
- Keywords. There are exactly seven slots and the kit gives you exactly seven phrases. Use all of them, one phrase per slot.
- Categories. Pick the two suggested paths, and set the age range if it is a children's book.
- AI content question. Answer yes and select the parts that apply, normally AI generated images, plus AI generated text if you kept the AI written story.
- Upload the interior PDF as your manuscript. The trim size and margins are already correct.
- Upload the cover PDF. Choose the option for uploading a cover you already have. The spine width is pre calculated.
- Launch the previewer and check every page, paying particular attention to spine alignment and page edges. Anything outside the printable area is flagged there. Fix, export again, upload again.
- Set territories and pricing, then publish.
About the AI disclosure:
Disclosing AI assistance is required, and it does not block a listing. The plugin also writes a line onto the copyright page of every interior stating that the artwork was created with AI assistance and reviewed, curated and arranged by the author.
Review after submission normally takes up to 72 hours before a book goes live.
