ResultsAiX Search & Member Activity asks for your license key the first time you open it. Until a key is entered the plugin shows only the activation screen, so this is always your first step.
Where your key came from:
It was emailed to you from info@resultswithkevin.com right after your purchase.
How to activate:
- Go to the AiX Search menu in your WordPress sidebar.
- Paste your key into the box.
- Click Activate.
That is it. The full menu appears and you can start choosing your content sources.
How many sites can I use it on?
Your license covers up to 3 of your own websites. Need more? Developer site packs cover 25, 50 or 100 sites in one payment.
The license panel:
There is no separate License screen. Once activated, the license panel sits at the top of AiX Search, then Settings. It shows your masked key, whether the license is Active, who it is licensed to, when it renews if it has a renewal date, and every site the key is activated on, with this site marked. Buttons let you Refresh License Info, Deactivate This Site, or open your customer portal to see all your keys and downloads.
Changing your key:
Type the new key into the Change license key box in that panel and click Replace key.
Moving the plugin to a different site:
Open AiX Search, then Settings, and click Deactivate This Site. That frees the slot so you can activate somewhere else. Your settings, rules and index stay exactly as they are, so if you reactivate later everything is still there.
Freeing a slot from another site:
In the Activated Domains list, click Remove beside any other site to free its slot. This is useful for staging copies or sites you no longer control. It frees the slot for a new install. It does not switch the plugin off on that site.
What if my site cannot reach the license server?
The plugin activates locally and keeps working, then finishes syncing automatically. You may briefly see a notice saying the license has not synced yet. It retries each day, so there is nothing for you to do.
Common messages and what they mean:
- That key does not include ResultsAiX Search: the key is for a different product
- This license has no sites left: deactivate a site you no longer use, or add a site pack
- This license has expired: renew, or contact support
- This license is no longer active: contact support
- That license key was not accepted: check for a typo, then contact support
