🗂️ Choosing What Appears In Search

The Content Sources screen decides what people can find. It works by content type, not page by page, so a site with a thousand pages still only takes a few clicks.

Every public content type on your site is listed, including Pages, Posts and any custom types your theme or plugins add, such as products, bots, webinars or programs.

Each row gives you four controls:

  • Include: the on and off switch for that whole type
  • Published: how many published items that type currently holds
  • Priority: a number from 1 to 10 used for ranking
  • Label In Results: the heading shown above that group in the dropdown

How priority works:

Priority breaks ties. When two results are an equally good match for what someone typed, the one whose type has the higher priority is shown first. If your training programs matter more than your blog posts, give programs a higher number.

A worked example:

  • Pages: on, priority 5
  • Posts: on, priority 4
  • Training Programs: on, priority 8, label "Training Programs"
  • AI Bots: on, priority 7, label "AI Bots"

Saving your choices:

Click Save and Re-Index. The plugin saves your settings and rebuilds the search index automatically, so your changes are live straight away. You do not need to rebuild by hand after saving here.

If a type is switched off, nothing from it appears in search and nothing from it is stored in the index.
