How many sites can I use it on?
Your license covers up to 3 of your own websites. Extra site packs are available if you need more.
Does it work with my theme?
Yes. The bar inherits your theme font and can be recoloured to match your brand. It works with block themes, classic themes and page builders.
Does it work with page builders?
Yes. Use the shortcode inside any builder's shortcode or text element, or add the block in the block editor.
Will it slow my site down?
No. It searches its own compact index rather than your whole database, and the search assets load only on pages where you placed a bar.
Does it need an account, an API key or an external service?
No. Everything runs on your own WordPress site, so there is nothing to sign up for and no ongoing service fees.
Can I have more than one search bar?
Yes, as many as you like, each with its own settings. They all share the same index.
Can I search custom post types?
Yes. Every public content type on your site appears in Content Sources, including types added by other plugins.
Can I search WooCommerce products?
Yes, products are a public content type and appear in Content Sources like any other.
Does it search page content or only titles?
Both. Titles, page content, categories and tags are all searched, with titles weighted most heavily.
What happens to my settings if I deactivate the plugin?
Your settings, sources, exclusions and rules are all kept. Only the rebuildable index is removed if you uninstall.
Can I export my search data?
The Insights screen shows your top searches and zero result searches on screen. You can clear the log at any time.
