Results AI Search gives your visitors an instant, Google style search bar. They start typing and matching pages appear in a dropdown straight away, with no page reload.
Install the plugin:
- In WordPress go to Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin.
- Choose the results-ai-search zip file and click Install Now.
- Click Activate.
A new menu called AI Search appears in your WordPress sidebar with a magnifying glass icon.
Enter your license key:
The first screen asks for the license key emailed to you after your purchase. Paste it in and click Activate. The full menu appears straight away. See the article on activating your license if you need a hand.
The AI Search menu has these screens:
- Dashboard: your index status, a live preview of the real search bar, and the Rebuild Index button
- Insights: what your visitors search for, and what they search for and do not find
- Content Sources: choose which content types appear in search
- Search Listings: set the picture and description each item shows in results
- Rules: synonyms and promoted results
- Add Search Bar: the shortcode, all its options, and a live preview
- Settings: search behaviour, the results page, spotlight, colours and custom CSS
- License: your key, your plan, and which sites you are using
- Get PRO: what a PRO key unlocks, shown on a Core plan
- Resources: other tools from the ResultsAIx family
- Hub: the ResultsAIx Hub when it is installed
On a PRO plan you also get Offers, Leads, AI Tools, Insights PRO and PRO Settings.
Your first three minutes:
- Open Content Sources and switch on the content you want people to find, such as Pages and Posts.
- Click Save and Re-Index. This builds the search index.
- Open Settings and click Create The Page For Me to make your full results page.
- Put the shortcode [results_ai_search] on any page, or add the block or widget.
That is the whole setup. Everything after this is fine tuning.
