A promoted result is a page you choose to appear at the top of the results for certain searches, under a Suggested heading with a star.
This is ideal for sending people to your pricing page, your support hub, your best offer, or a launch page.
How to add one:
- Go to Rules and scroll to Promoted Results.
- Click Add promoted result.
- In the first box type the trigger phrase, for example pricing.
- In the second box start typing the title of the page to pin, then click it in the list.
- Click Save Rules.
How matching works:
The rule fires whenever the visitor's search contains your trigger phrase. A trigger of price will match price, pricing and best price. Keep triggers short and general for the widest reach.
Some ideas:
- price, pricing or cost, pinned to your sales page
- help, support or problem, pinned to your support page
- start or begin, pinned to your getting started guide
- refund or cancel, pinned to your policy page
Good to know:
- The promoted page is removed from the normal results below, so nothing appears twice
- You can add as many rules as you like
- Remove a rule with the cross button, then save
- Promoted results take effect immediately, with no rebuild needed
