From a template:
The fastest route. Twenty built in agreements already carry merge fields and signature blocks. Choose one, fill the blanks and send. Templates load straight into the editor, so you can change any wording you like before sending.
Write it in the editor:
Type or paste your own agreement. The toolbar gives you bold, italic, underline, headings and paragraphs, plus buttons that insert signature fields, initials, a date stamp, a full name field, a text box and a checkbox at your cursor. Document text is stored as a restricted subset of HTML, so headings, lists, tables and basic formatting survive and scripts do not.
Upload a PDF:
Already have the contract as a PDF? Upload it, up to 20 megabytes. The file is checked to confirm it really is a PDF, stored privately, and fingerprinted with SHA-256. Signers review that exact file inside their signing page.
How editor documents and uploaded PDFs differ:
- Signature placement: editor documents can carry fields anywhere in the text, uploaded PDFs collect signatures on a generated Execution Certificate page instead
- Merge fields: available in editor and template documents, not in uploaded PDFs, which are used exactly as supplied
- The final file: editor documents render to a native PDF with the signatures in place plus the Certificate of Completion, while uploaded PDFs keep your original file untouched and pair it with an Execution Certificate tied to the original file's fingerprint
Why an uploaded PDF is never written on:
Altering a supplied PDF risks corrupting it. Storing it untouched and fingerprinting it means the signatures are bound to that exact file. If a different version is ever produced, its fingerprint will not match the one recorded, and that difference is visible.
Saving your version:
Any document can be saved as a reusable template using the Save as reusable template box at the bottom of the editor. The core plugin keeps up to 3 saved templates. PRO removes that cap.
