Every bridge runs in instant mode. What differs is how WP Sync learns that a contact is new.
Push sources fire immediately:
The other app posts the event to your site the instant it happens, so there is no waiting. This covers WordPress forms, inbound webhooks, WooCommerce and other on site plugins, Stripe, PayPal, Shopify and the other carts, Calendly and Cal.com, Facebook and Instagram Lead Ads, course platforms, and the affiliate marketplaces including WarriorPlus and JVZoo. Thirteen of the built in autoresponders are push too: Acumbamail, Brevo, Drip, Encharge, Flodesk, Loops, MailPoet, Moosend, Ortto, Sender.net, Sendiio, SendX and Sendy. Brevo, Drip, Flodesk, SendX and Sendiio create their webhook automatically when you connect. The others show numbered copy and paste steps on their connection card. MailPoet lives on the same site, so it needs no webhook at all.
Polled sources are checked every five minutes:
A WordPress cron job asks each polled source what is new since its last successful check. Autoresponders request only contacts added after the last check. Google Sheets tracks the last seen row. Zoom and GoToWebinar pull new registrants or attendees since the last check.
The WP-Cron caveat:
WordPress cron only runs when your site receives traffic. On a very low traffic site the five minute poll can drift. The fix is a real server cron hitting your site's wp-cron.php file on a schedule. You can always click Run Sync Now on the Bridges tab to poll on demand.
Duplicate protection:
Inbound webhook events carry a stable deduplication key, so a vendor retry of the same event is processed exactly once rather than syncing the same person twice.
A retired mode:
An older tag triggered mode was removed in version 1.0.4. Every bridge now runs in instant mode.
