The Diagnostics tab:

The Diagnostics tab is a one glance health report, laid out in sections.

  • Plugin: the plugin version, licence status, whether your site can reach the update server and the licence server (with a "Check again" button), whether AI, WP Sync, ResultsAiX Mailer and Customer insight are connected, whether the file uploads folder is writable, the reCAPTCHA, Akismet and data retention settings, whether the daily clean up is scheduled, and a count of errors in the last 24 hours.
  • Emails: exactly who your emails come from, and how that was decided (set in Settings, automatic, or chosen by an SMTP plugin), where new entry notifications go, and the thank you email limit of 3 an hour per address.
  • Environment: your WordPress, PHP and database versions, the site address, HTTPS, memory limit and maximum upload size.
  • Database Tables: a row count for forms, entries and AI jobs. If a table is ever missing, it is recreated on the spot when you open the page, and your existing data is not touched.

The server checks run after the page has loaded, so Diagnostics always opens quickly.

The error log:

At the bottom of Diagnostics, the "Error log" lists problems the plugin ran into in the last 7 days, newest first, with the time, the level, the area and what happened. It covers:

  • emails your site failed to send, and thank you emails held back by the hourly limit
  • AI errors, in the provider's own words
  • leads handed to ResultsAiX Mailer or WP Sync that did not go through
  • the daily licence check and the daily clean up
  • submissions turned away by the time trap, your blocklist or Akismet
  • PHP errors in this plugin's own files

Click "Details" on a line for more. "Copy log" copies the whole log to paste into a ticket, and "Clear log" empties it after asking you first. Your forms, entries and settings are not touched. Keys and passwords are never written to the log. When nothing has gone wrong it says "Nothing logged."

Copy Report for Support:

Click "Copy Report for Support" at the top to copy the whole report as text, including the latest log lines, ready for a support ticket. In the screen's own words: "No passwords or API keys are ever included."

The form does not show on the page:

Check the status is "Active (live)", the form has at least one field, and the id in the shortcode matches the form. Logged in administrators see a short note in place of a form that is missing, empty or not Active.

The message "That was a little too fast":

That is the time trap doing its job on a bot, or the minimum seconds set too high for a very short form. Lower "Minimum seconds to fill a form" under Settings, Spam protection if real visitors trigger it.

My test shows the thank you but no new entry appears:

The duplicate guard does not store identical answers from the same visitor twice within 10 minutes, and the visitor sees the normal thank you again. Change an answer and send again.

No notification emails:

  1. Check "Email me each submission" is ticked on the form and "Send to" is right.
  2. Open the error log on Diagnostics. It records any email your site failed to send, with the reason.
  3. Check the Emails section shows a From email on your own domain. If not, set one under Settings, Notifications, "Who your form emails come from".
  4. If plain WordPress mail still lands in spam, send your site's mail through an SMTP service and these emails follow automatically.

The visitor did not get a thank you email:

Check the form has "Send the submitter a thank-you email" ticked and an Email address field. One address receives at most 3 thank you emails an hour, which often explains it during testing. The error log says when one was held back.

An uploaded file asks me to log in:

That is the privacy protection: uploaded files only open for a logged in administrator. Log in to this site, then click the link again.

The AI button says AI is not set up:

Add a key on Integrations & AI, click "Save AI settings", then test the connection. Check "Enable AI features" is ticked.

An AI job failed:

Read the "Why:" line under the job on Integrations & AI, or the "Last error" on the provider's card. It gives the provider's own words, such as a used up quota or a key that is no longer valid, and what to do next. A fallback provider keeps AI working while you sort it out.

A choice field disappeared after saving:

Dropdown, Radio buttons and Checkboxes need at least two options.

A field is greyed out in a conditional logic rule:

Save the form once, then set the rule.

A file is refused:

The limit is 5 MB, and only the listed file types are accepted. If Diagnostics shows the uploads folder as not writable, ask your host to correct the folder permissions.

The daily clean up shows as not scheduled:

It schedules itself again on the next page load of your site. Open any page of your site, then reload Diagnostics.

Licence or update problems:

Look at the "Licence server" and "Update server" rows in Diagnostics, and click "Check again" for a fresh answer. If either says Not reachable, send your host the details shown beside it, or include them in your support ticket. Switching the plugin off and on again is never needed for licence problems, and it does not release your licence. To move your key to another site, use "Deactivate This Site" in the License panel under Settings.

Still stuck?
