A form appears on your site once its status is "Active (live)" and you have placed it on a page. There are three ways to place it, and the form looks and behaves the same in all of them.
Shortcode:
Every saved form has a shortcode such as [resultsaix_form id="1"]. You will find it under the form name in the builder, on each row of the Forms tab, and in "Your forms" on the Dashboard. Paste it anywhere shortcodes work.
Block editor:
Add the "ResultsAiX Form" block and pick the form from its dropdown. Forms that are not Active show their status in brackets in the list, so you can tell them apart. Once a form is chosen, the block shows a live preview of it inside the editor, drawn by the same code as your published page, and the form picker moves to the block's settings in the sidebar. The preview cannot be clicked or filled in, so you can arrange the page around it safely.
Elementor:
A dedicated "ResultsAiX Form" widget sits in the widget panel. Drop it in and choose the form under "Form". While nothing is chosen, the editor shows "ResultsAiX Form: pick a form in the widget settings." Once chosen, the form appears in the Elementor editor fully styled, the way it will look on the page.
Beaver Builder, Divi and the classic editor:
Paste the shortcode into any text or HTML module.
The three statuses:
- "Draft (not shown)": safe to work on. Nothing appears on your site.
- "Active (live)": the form shows and collects.
- "Closed (stops collecting)": the form comes off the page and stops taking submissions. Its entries stay in your inbox.
You can switch between them in the builder, or with Activate and Close on the Forms tab.
Pasted the shortcode and see nothing?
When a form is missing, empty or not Active, visitors see nothing at all. Logged in administrators see a short note in its place, ending "(only admins see this note)", so an old shortcode never embarrasses you in front of visitors.
What the visitor experiences:
- Problems are shown under the field concerned, and the cursor moves to the first one so it can be fixed straight away.
- Fields controlled by conditional logic appear and disappear as they answer.
- On success the form is replaced by your thank you heading and message, or the visitor is sent to your redirect page.
- Half width fields stack on small screens, so forms work properly on phones.
- A dark form keeps its light text and dark fields on every theme and page builder, so it always reads clearly.
Built for every visitor:
Forms can be filled in with a keyboard alone. Every box has a label, required fields say so to screen readers, groups of choices are read out as one question, problems are announced as they appear, and the thank you message is announced when the form is sent. Two forms on the same page never get in each other's way.
Caching and speed:
Forms keep working on pages served by a full page cache. The form's stylesheet and script load only on pages that contain a form, so the rest of your site is untouched.
