This walk through takes you from a new install to a live form with a test entry in the inbox, in six short steps.
Start a new form:
Click "New Form" in the tab bar. Type a "Form name", for example Contact form.
Add your fields:
In the "Add a field" panel on the left, click "Name (first / last)", then "Email address", then "Paragraph text". Each click adds a card to the canvas in the middle. Click a card's header to open it, change the "Label" (for example, Your message) and tick "Required" on the fields you must have.
The "Live preview" panel shows the real form as your visitors will see it, drawn by the same code and stylesheet your site uses. It updates a moment after you stop typing, so you can check the look before anything is saved.
Prefer AI? If you have connected an AI key, type one line into "Describe it, AI builds it", such as: a contact form with a budget dropdown. Click "Build it with AI" and review the draft that lands on the canvas.
Make it live:
Set "Status" to "Active (live)" and click "Save form". You will see "Form saved. It is live wherever it is embedded." Drafts never show on your site. If you try to leave the builder before saving, you are asked first, so a stray click never costs you your work.
Put it on a page:
After the first save, the shortcode appears under the form name, for example [resultsaix_form id="1"]. Paste it into any page or post. In the block editor you can add the "ResultsAiX Form" block instead and pick your form from the dropdown. The block then shows a preview of the form right there in the editor.
Send a test entry:
Open the page and fill the form in the way a visitor would. Three tips for testing:
- Take at least 3 seconds. The time is counted by your browser from the moment the form appeared, and anything faster is treated as a bot: you will see "That was a little too fast. Please try again."
- Change your answers between tests. Sending the identical answers twice within 10 minutes shows the normal thank you message again, but the second copy is not stored, so do not expect a second entry.
- If you are testing the thank you email with your own address, one address receives at most 3 thank you emails an hour. Wait an hour or use another address for more tests.
See the result:
The visitor sees your thank you message, "Thank You!" by default. Open the Entries tab and your test is at the top, marked unread, tagged with its traffic source, device and the time it took to fill in. Click "Open full entry" to see every answer on one screen. A notification email is on by default and goes to your site's admin address. The Dashboard counts your test straight away.
Next steps:
Add a thank you email for the visitor, check who your emails come from under Settings, Notifications, send leads to ResultsAiX Mailer or WP Sync, and style the form to match your site. Each has its own article in this guide.
