On a busy site a search can return a lot. Filters let the visitor cut it down without typing anything else.
Turn it on:
In PRO Settings, under Search Power, tick Show filter chips on the full results page.
What the visitor sees:
A row of chips above the results, one for All and one for each content type in the result set, each with a count. Clicking a chip narrows the list to that type. Clicking All brings everything back.
Where it appears:
On the full search results page only. The dropdown stays deliberately simple.
The counts:
Counts are worked out from the unfiltered result set, so the numbers stay steady and the chips never disappear once a filter is applied. There is always a way back to All.
