Live mode has two providers, chosen on the Content tab of the webinar and defaulted under Settings.
Embed an external stream:
Paste the embed URL of a stream you are already running, for example an unlisted YouTube Live. Your registration, chat, timed offer and tracking all stay inside your own room. This needs no extra account and no configuration beyond the URL.
Broadcast from your browser:
Connect your own Cloudflare Stream account under Settings by entering your Account ID and an API token that has the Stream Edit permission. Then the Go Live console appears in the Live editor panel. Choose camera, screen, or screen with a camera bubble in the corner, and click Start broadcasting. The video is published from your browser over WebRTC to your Cloudflare account, and attendees in the room subscribe to the playback stream. There is no OBS and nothing to install.
While you are live:
The console gives you two extra controls: post a message to the room chat as the host, and show the offer to everyone immediately. Attendees who were already sitting in the waiting room pick the stream up automatically the moment you start, without refreshing.
When you stop:
Cloudflare records the broadcast automatically. The plugin tries to attach that recording as this webinar's replay straight away. Cloudflare usually needs a few minutes of processing first, so if it is not ready the console tells you, and the Use my live recording as the replay button in the Live panel fetches it when it is. The live input itself is kept rather than deleted, so repeat broadcasts reuse it and the recording is not orphaned.
About streaming capacity and cost:
Cloudflare fans the stream out to viewers with adaptive quality, and the plugin is built around a target of up to 500 viewers for a browser broadcast. Streaming is billed by Cloudflare directly to your own account on a pay as you go basis, so check their current pricing yourself. AI Deck and Recorded webinars need no streaming account at all.
Checking the connection:
Settings has a Test connection button for Cloudflare, and Diagnostics reports whether your token was accepted or needs the Stream Edit permission.
