By default your registration page lives at /webinar/your-webinar/, served by the plugin. Publish as a WordPress page gives it an ordinary WordPress page as well.

What you get:

  • A normal WordPress address that you can edit, rename and put in a menu, with the page listed under Pages in WordPress
  • An address that WordPress resolves itself, so no plugin rewrite rule is involved and it cannot show a 404 because a rule went missing
  • Protection from other plugins that redirect links, such as a link tracker on the same site, which see real content and leave the page alone
  • A page search engines can find. The pages under /webinar/ ask search engines not to list them, and a page you publish to WordPress is the one exception.
  • Every link you have already emailed keeps working, because the /webinar/ address stays alive.

Publishing it:

Open the Registration tab and click Publish as a WordPress page. The tab then shows the page's address with an Edit page in WordPress link and a Stop using it button. From then on your registration link, the copy button in the setup guide, and the private room, thanks and replay links in your emails are all built from that page's address.

What is on the page:

The page is a marker. The plugin still draws the registration page itself, exactly as it does under /webinar/, so your style and design controls are unchanged. Anything you type into the page in the WordPress editor is not shown to visitors. Use the WordPress editor to change the page title, the address (slug) and where the page sits in your menus.

Stopping:

Stop using it only unlinks the page. It never deletes it, and your links go back to the /webinar/ address straight away.
