The 🤖 AI Analyst tab is part of the Pro Tools add on. It reads your own tracking data, gives every link a verdict and answers questions in plain English. It only ever reads your data. It cannot change, delete or export anything.

What You Need:

A key from one AI provider. The Analyst works with Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) and OpenAI, and one key is enough. You pay your provider directly for what you use. Google AI Studio offers a free tier, so Gemini is an easy way to try it. The key is stored only on your site and is never shown back to you.

Setting It Up:

  1. Open the 🤖 AI Analyst tab and find AI Settings.
  2. Pick a provider card and open How To Get Your Key In 60 Seconds. It walks you through your provider's own site and tells you what the key starts with.
  3. Paste the key and click Save Settings. The tab shows Connected, with the provider and model, once it is working.
  4. Click Test Connection to check it.

Other Settings On The Same Card:

  • Model. Each provider has a small, cheap default and larger, more capable options in the list. The default is a sensible place to start.
  • Fallback provider. Optional. A second provider that is used automatically if the first one fails, for example on a rate limit or an outage. It needs its own key.
  • Monthly soft budget. A dollar amount that triggers a warning when your estimated spend for the last 30 days passes it. It never blocks anything, and 0 switches the warning off.
  • Enable AI features. Untick it to switch the whole feature off.
  • Remove this key. Tick it on a provider card and save to delete that key.

Analyze My Traffic:

Choose a range, Last 7 days, Last 30 days, Last 90 days, Last 365 days, This month, Last month, All time or a custom range, then click Run Analysis. It takes 15 to 60 seconds. The Analyst is given a summary worked out on your own site. For each of your busiest links that is the clicks, conversions, revenue, refunds and Tier 1 share, plus ad cost and profit or loss where you have set a cost per click. It also gets your traffic sources by Sub-ID and any sales that arrived with no tracked click. The report has five parts:

  • The Headline, the single most important thing in the data.
  • Link Verdicts, one line per link that matters. SCALE means profitable, buy more. KEEP means working, leave it alone. WATCH means warning signs. KILL means losing money or dead weight. Links with too little data are skipped and counted.
  • What Is Making Money.
  • What Is Wasting Money.
  • Do This Next, five numbered actions, most valuable first.

Ask Your Data Anything:

Below the report there is a chat. Type a question and press Enter, or start from one of the suggested questions, such as which link made the most money this month, which traffic source converts best, or how Tier 1 compares with Tier 3. The Analyst works out each answer by running read only queries against your own tracking tables, so every figure comes from live data. Conversations are saved. Pick an earlier one from the dropdown, start a new one with + New conversation, or click Delete to remove one.

With Audience Vault:

When the Audience Vault add on is installed, its visitor tables join the data the Analyst can read, so it can answer who questions as well, such as who your top buyers are by revenue. The suggested questions then include them.

What Is Kept Safe:

Every query the Analyst writes is checked before it runs. It must be a single read only SELECT on WCT's own tracking tables, with no comments, and the number of rows returned is limited. Your WordPress user and settings tables are not available to it. Your question, the summary and the query results are sent to the AI provider you chose, so use a provider you are happy to share your traffic numbers with.

Watching The Cost:

The AI usage card lists every AI call the tab has made. It shows total jobs, jobs and estimated spend for the last 30 days and errors, then the ten most recent calls with their type, status, model, cost, duration and time. The costs are estimates from published per token prices, and your provider's own dashboard is the real bill.
