♻️ Link Rotators With Pro Tools

Rotators are part of the 🧪 Pro Tools add on. A rotator is a link with several destinations that cycles traffic between them, which is how you fulfil solo ad orders, spread traffic across multiple offers, or share clicks between partners.

Creating A Rotator:

Go to the 🔄 Rotators tab and use the ➕ Create Rotator form. Fill in:

  • Rotator Name. Your own label.
  • Slug. The public path, exactly like a normal tracking link.
  • Rotation Mode. One of three behaviours, described below.
  • Max Clicks Per URL. Used by Fulfill and Rotate modes to cap each destination.
  • Backup URL. Where traffic goes if no destination is eligible, for example when every URL has hit its cap.
  • Destination URLs. Add one row per destination.

Click Create Rotator to save, or Update Rotator when editing.

The Three Rotation Modes:

  • 🔄 Rotate (Round-Robin). Traffic cycles through the destinations in order, one click each, then back to the start. This is the default choice for splitting traffic evenly over time.
  • ✅ Fulfill (Sequential until max clicks). The first destination receives clicks until it reaches Max Clicks Per URL, then the rotator moves to the next one. This is the mode for delivering a solo ad order of a fixed number of clicks before moving on.
  • 📊 Track (Even Distribution). Distributes clicks to keep the destinations balanced overall.

Why The Backup URL Matters:

In Fulfill mode every destination eventually fills up. Without a backup URL, later visitors have nowhere to go. Always set one, even if it is just your own main offer, so no click is ever wasted.

Managing Rotators:

The Rotators tab lists everything you have created with a search box for finding one by name, and per row actions to edit and delete. Each destination shows its own click count so you can see the distribution at a glance.

Rotators And Normal Links:

A rotator has its own slug and lives alongside your ordinary tracking links. If you have set a slug prefix in Settings, rotator URLs use it too, so everything stays inside the same namespace.

A Practical Solo Ad Workflow:

  1. Create a rotator in Fulfill mode with Max Clicks Per URL set to the order size.
  2. Add one destination per buyer, in delivery order.
  3. Set your own offer as the Backup URL so overdelivery is never wasted.
  4. Send traffic to the single rotator URL.
  5. Watch the per destination counts to confirm each order is filled before the next begins.
