JVZoo is a Tier 1 native integration. WCT auto detects the JVZoo payload, so a short URL is all you need. Installing the JVZoo Connect add on and running the Setup Wizard does the whole job with Copy buttons, and the manual steps below achieve the same result.
Step One, The Per Product JVZIPN URL:
- Go to JVZoo, then My Products, and click Edit on the product.
- Scroll to Advanced Settings.
- Set JVZIPN Version to v2. The v2 payload includes explicit vendor and affiliate amount splits, where v1 only reported gross.
- Paste this into the JVZIPN URL field: https://yoursite.com/?wct_postback=1&source=jvzoo&type=sale
- Click Save Product, then repeat for every product you sell.
Step Two, The JVZIPN Secret Key:
This is global, so you set it once and it secures every incoming IPN.
- Go to JVZoo, then My Account Dashboard.
- Click Seller Settings.
- Find JVZIPN Secret Key. Copy the existing key, or generate one if there is not one yet.
- Paste it into the Setup Wizard JVZoo step, or into JVZoo Connect, Security tab. Both save to the same option, so there is only ever one value to keep straight.
- The field stays masked by default, which keeps it off screen when you record training videos.
Why The Secret Key Matters:
Without it, JVZoo IPNs are accepted unverified, which means anyone who discovers your postback URL could push fake sales into your reports. With the secret key set, WCT verifies the cverify SHA1 hash on every IPN and rejects mismatched signatures with a 403.
Use The IPN, Not A Sale Pixel:
JVZoo fires the IPN from its own servers the moment a sale completes, so ad blockers, closed tabs and browser privacy modes are irrelevant. A sale pixel on a JVZoo thank you page will always under report. If you want a pixel as well, treat it as a backup rather than the primary method.
Dynamic Amounts:
If you build a manual postback URL rather than relying on auto detection, JVZoo's dynamic amount token is %ctransamount%. Substitute it wherever a URL expects the amount.
Where Sales Show Up:
Once IPNs are flowing you will see them on the 💰 Conversions tab, on the Dashboard Recent Conversions table, and against the individual link in Link Stats. The JVZoo Connect add on adds its own 🛒 JVZ Connect tab with a marketplace specific view including a Sub ID column.
