Audience Vault is a separate paid add on for WP Conversion Tracker. It appears as a 👤 Audience Vault tab inside the WPC Tracker menu once installed, and it requires the core plugin to be active.
What It Does:
WCT tells you that a click converted. Audience Vault tells you who converted, and what else that same person has done on your site. It builds one profile per person, keyed on IP address, and enriches it from conversions, from email opt in forms, from URL parameters in your broadcasts, and from lists you import.
The Five Sub Tabs:
- 👥 People. The main list, with stat cards for Total Visitors, Identified, Identify Rate, Identified Rev and VIP Visitors, plus country and device breakdowns.
- 📄 By Page. Performance by link, with unique visitors, identified count, clicks, conversions, conversion rate and revenue.
- 📥 Import. Bring in an existing email list or autoresponder export.
- 🔧 Tools. Backfill, recompute, merge and diagnostic actions.
- ⚙️ Settings. The three capture toggles and the data wipe.
How People Get Identified:
- From conversions. Every sale or lead upserts a profile, and the identity propagates to other rows sharing the same IP.
- From the email sniffer. Optional front end JavaScript that notices when a visitor types into an email opt in form on your site and identifies them in real time.
- From URL hydration. Append merge tags such as ?email= to the links in your broadcasts and visitors are identified the moment they click. The Tools tab has a 🪄 URL Hydration Link Builder with presets for the common autoresponders.
- From imports. Rows matched by email, and matched to a visitor immediately when the file includes a signup IP.
Importing A List:
The 📥 Import Your Audience screen accepts any CSV, including AWeber, GetResponse, Mailchimp and ConvertKit exports. Only the email column is required. Upload the file, map your columns to the vault fields, and run the import. Rows with a signup IP are matched to a visitor straight away, and the rest are matched the next time that person clicks a tracked link or buys.
The Tools You Will Actually Use:
- 🔄 Identity Backfill. Walks every click already in your WCT database and identifies prior anonymous visits by IP. This is the run once moment where existing data turns into a named audience. It is safe to re-run.
- 📊 Recompute Aggregates. Refreshes the per visitor totals.
- 🧬 Merge Duplicate Visitors. Folds duplicate rows together, with a live progress bar.
- 🏥 Heartbeat Diagnostic. Runs a live write path test and reports pass or fail per check, which is the fastest way to prove capture is working.
- 📡 Universal Tracking Snippet. A script tag you can paste into the head of any page anywhere, including non WordPress pages, so visits on other platforms still land in the vault.
Settings Worth Knowing:
The email sniffer and URL hydration are both on by default. High-Traffic Mode is off by default and skips passive page view capture on non tracked pages, which is the setting to enable if a large email blast puts your database under strain. Tracked link clicks, the sniffer and URL hydration all keep working when it is on.
Reports:
Each visitor has a detail screen with editable identity fields, notes, and a journey table of every recorded event. A 📄 PDF Report button opens a printable customer journey report that you save through the browser print dialogue. The People list also exports to CSV.
One Caution:
The ⚙️ Settings tab has a data wipe that clears all visitor data and requires you to type a confirmation word. It affects the vault only and leaves your WCT clicks and conversions untouched, but it cannot be undone.
