Brevo, which used to be called Sendinblue, is a good all rounder with a generous free tier and a daily sending allowance rather than a monthly one.
Step by step:
- Create an account at brevo.com.
- Authenticate your sending domain. Brevo gives you DKIM and a Brevo verification record for your DNS.
- Add those records and wait for the domain to show as authenticated.
- Open the SMTP and API area and create an API key.
- In ResultsAiX Mailer, open Delivery, then Sending, and add a connection.
- Choose Brevo, paste the API key, and set From name and From email to an address on the authenticated domain.
- Save and send yourself a test.
Mind the daily allowance:
Brevo plans are usually capped per day. Put your allowance into Daily limit on the connection. The Mailer then paces the send to fit, and if it does run out it pauses and picks up the next day rather than marking the rest as failed.
For a broadcast larger than your daily allowance, either use the drip setting on the broadcast so it spreads over days by design, or add a second connection and turn on rotation.
Keep it healthy:
- Send from your own domain, not a free mailbox address. Brevo allows a free address, but inboxes treat it poorly.
- Use Warmup on a new account.
- Watch the bounce rate on your first few sends. Brevo reviews accounts with high bounces.
Common problems:
- Mail refused: the domain is not authenticated yet, or the From address is on a different domain.
- Sending stops each day at the same number: that is your plan's daily allowance. Set Daily limit to match it.
