The Revenue figures in ResultsAiX Mailer answer one question: which email earned this sale?

Every sale is credited to one email only, so the revenue shown across your broadcasts and automations always adds up to your real sales.

The rule, in order:

  1. Last click wins. The sale is credited to the email the buyer most recently clicked in the 7 days before they bought. It is their real last click, so if they clicked Monday's email, then Wednesday's, then went back to Monday's before buying, Monday's gets it. Clicks on your unsubscribe, resubscribe, confirm and view in browser links do not count as interest in the offer.
  2. No click at all? The sale goes to the last email they opened in those 7 days. These are always shown on their own line, as sales from opens. A click is the stronger signal, because some mail apps load images automatically, so the two are never blended into one figure.
  3. No click and no open in that week? The sale is counted under Other sales. It still appears in your buyer and sales figures.

How to read a Revenue cell:

  • The large green figure is money earned by clicks, with the number of sales underneath, for example $1,991.00 and 3 sales from clicks.
  • A smaller line, for example + $497.00 and 1 sale from opens, is sales from buyers who opened that email before buying.
  • A dash means no sales are credited to that email yet.

The two lines are never added together, so the headline is always the figure you can stand behind.

Where you see it:

  • The Revenue (7d) column on the Broadcasts page, on the Dashboard and on the Automations page.
  • The Revenue card at the top of every broadcast and automation report.
  • The Revenue tab inside a report, which lists every credited sale with its source: Clicked this email, or Opened this email. You can change the look-back there to 3, 7, 14 or 30 days.
  • The Who purchased tab, which lists exactly the people behind that card, and the Email rev column beside each person.
  • The Email Revenue tile on the Dashboard.

The Dashboard tile reconciles:

The headline is sales from email clicks in the date range you picked. The line under it shows From opens and Other sales. The three always add up to what actually came in, so you can see at a glance how much of your income email is driving.

Refunds, rebills and automations:

  • A refund follows its sale. It comes off the email that was credited with the original purchase, not whichever email the buyer happened to click before asking for their money back.
  • Rebills are never counted as email revenue. The billing system charged them. No email persuaded anybody.
  • Automation emails compete on equal terms with broadcasts. If the buyer's last click was on a welcome sequence email, the automation gets the sale and the broadcast does not.
  • Only your own sales count, not commissions you earned as an affiliate.

Nothing is stored:

Credit is worked out from the clicks, opens and purchases already on record. There is no saved figure to go out of date, and the rule applies to every email you have ever sent, not only new ones.

Why a sale may appear under Other sales:

  • The buyer came from an affiliate, an ad, a social post or a search, and was not on your list or had not been emailed that week.
  • They bought with a different email address from the one they subscribed with, or through an email alias service.
  • They read on one device and bought on another, with images and link tracking blocked, so no open or click was ever recorded.

A healthy business always has some of these. If the share is large, it is telling you that a lot of your sales are coming from outside email, which is worth knowing.

Comparing with earlier figures:

Revenue per email is now based on what the buyer clicked or opened, with each sale counted once. Your actual income is unchanged. It is simply divided between your emails more precisely.
