Resend is the newest service on this screen and the quickest to set up. If you want to be sending within ten minutes and you are comfortable adding DNS records, start here.
Step by step:
- Create an account at resend.com.
- Add your sending domain and add the DNS records it gives you. There are only a few, covering DKIM and the return path.
- Wait for the domain to show as verified. It is usually quick.
- Create an API key with sending permission.
- In ResultsAiX Mailer, open Delivery, then Sending, and add a connection.
- Choose Resend, paste the API key, and set From name and From email to an address on the verified domain.
- Save and send yourself a test.
Strict about the From address:
Resend will only send from a domain you have verified. There is no grace period and no free-address fallback, which is a good thing for delivery, but it does mean a wrong From address fails every time rather than quietly working.
Worth knowing:
- Set Daily limit on the connection to your plan allowance so a big send paces itself.
- Use Warmup on a new account before a large broadcast, the same as any other provider.
- Being newer, Resend's shared pools are generally clean, but your own domain authentication still does the heavy lifting.
Common problems:
- Every send refused: the From address is not on a verified domain, or the domain is still pending.
- The key does nothing: it was created without sending permission.
