📮 Sender Profiles

A sender profile is a saved sending identity. Rather than retyping your from name and address everywhere, you define it once and choose it where it is needed.

What a profile holds:

  • A profile name, which only you see
  • From name, the name recipients see
  • From email, the address it comes from
  • Reply to address, if replies should go somewhere else
  • Sender postal address, which appears in the email footer

Why the postal address matters:

Anti spam law in most countries, including CAN-SPAM in the United States, requires a physical mailing address in commercial email. Setting it on the profile means it is added automatically to everything sent under that identity, so you cannot forget it.

Creating profiles:

Go to AI Mailer, then Settings. The Sender Profiles section lists your profiles and lets you add more. One profile is marked as the default and is used anywhere a more specific choice has not been made.

Why have more than one:

Common reasons include a personal identity for newsletters and a company identity for receipts, separate identities for different brands on one site, or a dedicated identity for partner outreach.

How the right one gets picked:

When an email is sent, the plugin looks for a sender profile on the broadcast first, then on the list, and finally falls back to the default profile. That means you can set a sensible default and override it only where it matters.

Deleting:

The default profile and the last remaining profile cannot be deleted, so there is always a valid identity to send from.
