Most sellers have several products that mean the same thing for email purposes. A bundle sold at three different prices, the same plugin sold on two marketplaces, an old version and a new one. Picking every one of them each time you build an audience is slow, and it is easy to miss one.
A product group gives that set of products one name.
Creating a group:
- Open Settings and scroll to Product groups.
- Click New group and give it a name, for example Bundle owners.
- Tick the products that belong in it. There is a search box, and a helper that ticks every product whose name contains a word you type, such as bundle. The ticks are shown for you to check before anything is saved.
- Save the group.
Products appear here as soon as a sale is recorded from ResultsAiX Commerce, WarriorPlus, JVZoo or Launch Manager.
Using a group:
In any audience, add the Product group filter and choose owns a product in, or owns nothing in. It works in broadcasts, saved segments and your Always leave out rules.
Adding products later:
Open the group, tick the new product and save. Every audience and rule that uses the group covers the new product from then on, with nothing else to update.
Deleting a group:
You are asked to confirm first, because any rule that uses the group will match nobody afterwards. Check your audiences and leave-out rules after deleting one.
Tip: check what a word catches. A search for bundle can also tick products that are only bundles of one plugin, which may not be the group you mean. Untick anything that does not belong before saving.
