Mailjet is a solid European service with a free tier. Its one quirk is that it uses a pair of credentials rather than a single API key, and half a pair sends nothing.
Step by step:
- Create an account at mailjet.com.
- Authenticate your sending domain by adding the SPF and DKIM records it gives you to your DNS.
- Wait for the domain to show as authenticated.
- Open the API key management page. You need BOTH values: the API key and the secret key.
- In ResultsAiX Mailer, open Delivery, then Sending, and add a connection.
- Choose Mailjet and paste the API key into the first box and the secret into the second.
- Set From name and From email to an address on the authenticated domain.
- Save and send yourself a test.
Two keys, not one:
Every other provider on this screen takes a single key. Mailjet takes a pair, and they belong together. If you paste the key twice, or leave the secret empty, nothing sends and the error will only say that authentication failed.
Keep it healthy:
- Set Daily limit to your plan allowance so a large broadcast paces itself.
- Use Warmup on a new account.
- Send from your authenticated domain, not a free mailbox address.
Common problems:
- Authentication failed: one of the two values is missing, or they are the wrong way round.
- Mail refused for the sender: the domain is not authenticated yet.
