Every completed import is recorded in the import history on the Safety tab, showing when it ran, which file it came from, which list it fed, and how many records were new, updated or errored.
Rolling one back:
Find the import in the history and click Roll back. The plugin removes the subscribers that import created.
What rollback will and will not delete:
This is the important part. Rollback only removes subscribers that meet all of these conditions:
- They were created by that specific import
- They have never been sent an email
- They have never opened or clicked anything
Anyone who existed before the import and was merely updated by it is left completely alone. Anyone who has since been emailed or has engaged is also left alone, because deleting them would destroy real history.
The result screen tells you how many were deleted and how many were kept because they were active.
When to use it:
The usual case is a bad column mapping that put the wrong data in the wrong field, or importing the wrong file entirely. Roll it back, fix the mapping, and import again.
Rollback can only be run once per import, and the history row is marked so you can see it has already been done.
