Anti-spam law in most countries (including CAN-SPAM in the United States) requires every commercial email to carry a physical mailing address. This is not optional, and mailbox providers treat missing addresses as a spam signal.
Setting your address:
- Go to Settings, then Sender Profiles
- Edit your default profile (or create one)
- Fill the Sender Postal Address box (a PO box or registered business address works)
- Save
From then on the address appears automatically in the footer of every email, directly under the unsubscribe link. Each sender profile can carry its own address, so different brands can send from the same install.
What happens without one:
Sending or scheduling a broadcast is blocked until an address exists. Your broadcast is held safely as a draft and the composer shows exactly where to fix it, so you can never accidentally send non-compliant email. The composer also warns you up front, before you even write. Test emails and double opt-in confirmations are deliberately not blocked.
