A broadcast is a single email sent once to a chosen audience, as opposed to a sequence which sends automatically over time.
Creating one:
Go to AI Mailer, then Broadcasts, then New Broadcast. You give it an internal name, which only you see, and a subject line, which your readers see.
Writing the email:
The editor takes HTML. You can start from one of the built in templates, load a template you saved earlier, or write from scratch. Merge tags such as {{first_name}} personalise it per recipient.
The live preview on the right shows the finished email as it will arrive, including the template wrapper. Switch between desktop and mobile views to check both.
Previewing as a real subscriber:
Type any subscriber's email address into the Preview as box and the preview re-renders with their real data in the merge tags. This is the quickest way to catch a merge tag that is empty or spelled wrongly.
Sending yourself a test:
Below the composer there is a test send box. It sends one copy to any address you choose, bypassing the queue, the audience and Safe Mode. Use it to check how the email looks in a real inbox before committing.
Choosing the audience:
Pick lists, segments, or build a custom audience with the audience builder. A live recipient counter shows how many people will receive it as you change your selection, with a sample of addresses.
Sending:
Save Draft keeps it for later. Send Now queues it immediately. Or set a date and time and click Schedule. Times you enter are in your own site timezone.
Once queued, the send worker processes the queue in batches in the background, so a large send does not tie up your browser.
Finding lists on a big account:
If you have hundreds of lists, both list pickers in the audience section have an instant search box and a scrollable panel. Type a few letters and only matching lists remain, and any list you have already ticked stays pinned at the top so your selection is never buried.
Recent additions to the composer:
Delete a draft: draft and scheduled broadcasts now show a Delete button, both in the editor and on the broadcasts list. Sent broadcasts cannot be deleted because they are your reporting history. Use Clone to reuse them.
From name and From email: if you leave these blank, the plugin uses your default sender profile, and the fields prefill from it so you always see exactly what recipients will see. Set your branding once under Settings, then Sender Profiles.
Test sends: next to the test email address there is a Recipient Name field. It becomes the To name on the test and fills {{first_name}}, so your test reads exactly like the real email. Your draft is always saved before the test goes out, so nothing is ever lost.
